The people dare not look in side the wall,
Of Liskillen grazing farm.- My name is Patrick Sheehan, my age is thirty four.
Tipperary is my native place, not far from Galteemore
I came off honest parents, but now they are lying low,
For its many a happy day I spent in the glen of Aherlow

My father died, I closed his eyes, outside our cabin door.
For the landlord and the sheriff, were there the day before.
It was then my aged mother, & sisters three also.
Were forced to go with broken hearts.
From the glen of Aherlow.

For three long months in search of work,
I wandered far & near,
I then went to the poor house, to see my mother dear
The news I heard near broke my heart
But still in all my woe, I blessed the friends that made her grave, in the glen of Aherlow.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
