    the woman to stay there and give her the shawl and that she would go to the devil with the husband. So she did. When they came to the wood they saw the devil but he would not come near them.
    The husband asked him why he was not taking her with him now. The devil said "you pormised me your wife"
    "and here she is", said the man.
    "That (Blessed) is the Blessed Virgin" said the devil. Then the Blessed Virgin spoke and told the man to take those that belong to himself, that the woman belonged to her.
