    Those little vessels were made of ply-wood, at which Kendrick was an expert in twisting into any shape or size he desired. When those vessels were washed with sandstone they became as white as snow.
    Kendrick did a big trade in his wares, sending them to the neighbouring towns - Castlebar, Balle, Claremorris, Westport, and Swinford. All went well with him, until the merchants of Ireland began to import this class of goods from North Virginia.
