   That we’d never more witness the crowbar brigade
   That landlords and agents were banished for ever,
   Brave Ardagh done well in the fight that was made

   ‘Tis years since Miss Gardiner put out her tenants,
   And forced them away o’er the waves of the deep
   And some have returned to the home of their childhood
   The land of their birth where their forefathers sleep.
