1. The Farm

   My name is Margaret Steward and I live on a farm. It is in the town land called the Roughan, half a mile out of Ramelton.
   There are fifteen fields on the farm, and the name of one is the Wee Field because it is small and used for grazing.
   The Hill Field is a very large field with a hill in the centre of it. The soil is dark and deep which yields good oats and other seed crops.
   The Wee Wood Field is situated beside the wood, it is not a very large field.
   The Mossy Field is the largest field in the farm. It got its name 'Mossy' because the soil is very mossy. Rushes grow on the greatest part of it.
   Near the town there is a large field which got the
