- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)There was a man whose name I am now unable to find, living in Glenagannon about one hundred and thirty years ago. One day he was out on the hill looking after sheep. On his way home he got a piece of rope lying on the hillside and he took it home with him. A long time afterwards he was churning and a hoop of the churn came off, and he tied the piece of rope around the churn to keep the boards from scattering. In a little while he noticed the churn getting fuller and fuller till he could no longer hold it. He put some into other vessels and he filled all the vessels in the house and the churn was still full. It is thought that the rope was the property of the old hag who lived in Effishmore.
- There is a district in Glenagannon, Carndonagh called 'Sheese' and there is a green mound called the 'Stirrel' in it. This mound is supposed to be where the fairies lived long ago, but no trace of them can be found now.
