About fifty years ago there lived a family in Cloman, who had grown very indifferent and had let their farm go to loss. The neighbours were sorry for them and they told the priest. He came and talked to them and they asked him to come back again some other time. The neighbours gathered together and decided to gather gold and make a cross from it. When they had the cross made they gave it to the priest and he hid it in their farm. Then he went to the house and told the family that there was a golden cross hiding in their farm. When the family heard this they were very glad and they began to dig the ground and at last they found the cross. They worked the farm ever afterwards and the priest was their best friend.
