  1. During the penal days a priest named Father Green was saying Mass on a mountain near blorane when he saw soldiers on horseback coming towards him. He had a little boy who was usually called Sean of the Lord because he often stayed up all night saying Mass or the Rosary with the priest.
    As soon as they saw the soldiers coming the people who numbered to 125 tried to disguise the Priest and when they came up they asked for the priest but the people said they had only gathered there for a dance. Some of the soldiers said that this was only an excuse and if they did not tell where he was they would all be brought before the counsil. The little boy when asked did he see the Priest said that rather than tell a lie there was one here but he did not know where he was now.
    The soldiers took the boy away and the people said they left him in a Protestant. The priest fled for miles over all kinds of land with but on shoe on his foot until he came to a little thatched house and going
