Next comes St.Patrick's day which is honoured greatly in Ireland. All Catholics go to Mass and wear a shamrock and sometimes the girls wear green ribbons on thier hair.
In the evening the men go to town and have a drink which is called drowning their shamrock. Good Friday falls on a different date every year. Catholics go to Mass and kiss the cross.
People let out cattle as they say it is a lucky days.
Next comes Easter Sunday a real day for the children. the families of the district gather together and built an Easter house and eat as many eggs as they are able.
Ascension day falls on a different date every year. All Catholics go to Mass.
Next comes Peter abd Pauls day which falls on the 29th of June. Catholics go to Mass on this day to honour Peter and Paul.
August the 15th The Assumption or Lady day. Catholics generally go t to holy wells.
Next comes St Martains night(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
