In every house long ago when a person died the clock was stopped. For two nights after the death there is a wake and all the friends, and neighbours go to it. Everyone in the house gets a pipe and tobacco and he has to take three smokes out of it and he says "The Lord have mercy on the dead." The people have to say up all night.
The second night the remains are carried to the chapel and the Rosary is said there. The day before the burial takes place the grave is dug. About two o'clock the burial takes place and everybody pays offerings.
