A man went to the mill to dry oats in the kiln. He put down a big fire for the purpose of drying the oats. The man left. It chanced that a he-goat got into the mill. When the goat got too warm he began to bleat. On his return to the mill the man heard the bleating inside. Curious to know the cause, he opened the door. At that very instant, the goat jumped out and hit the old man with his horn, on the side of his head. The man fainted. When he recovered he said the devil jumped out of the kiln.
