    I had sold my two cows and a sheep to the dailor.
    And the money he paid me down silver and gold.
    And Bridget came bouncing and scolding like blazes.
    And threw me her child till we both were exposed.
    III.
    But to flatter this damsel I have done my indevers.
    And I rolled up her child in the skirt of my coat.
    And we called to an inn where we had an acquaintance.
    And we drank and caroused 'till the cocks they were crowing.

    We drank the good health of the friends and neighbours.
