- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)locally in former times for there are three in ruins now. The majority of the boys and girls emigrated to America until the restriction prevented them from going.
There is scarcely a hill in the district the land being low and level only broken now and then by gently rising slopes. There was a small wood on John Cooke's estate but there are only a four trees standing there to mark where the wood was. There is a little lake in the townland and a stream running from it to the bog. The land on the whole is good clay land and there is an extensive bog stretching between Moylough and Ballincurry.
