    Until recently the natives of this country were ignorant of tea. It was brought to Ireland about two hundred years ago from China.
    Before Christianity was brought to Ireland (about two hundred years ago) there were no potatoes. Sir Walter Ralleigh an English man brought the potatoes from America and planted it in his garden in Cork.
