- There lived two poets in my district. There names were James O Gara and Johnny Burns James O Gara lived in Ragwood, Johnny Burns lived in Doon.
It is six or seven years since they died and they were about seventy years old then. They were buried with their parents in Carrantample graveyard.
Their ancestors could compose poems and songs and so they had that power from birth. They composed in English. They did not compete or disagree with one another.
