Ar an leathanach seo
- There are three forges, which I know of in this Parish. It takes a strong man to be a smith. The names of the smiths are Morgans, and two Cumiskeys. All belonging to them were smiths for many years. Morgan's forge is situated at a cross roads, on the Main road which leads from Ballybay to Castleblayney. The other forges are on the Main road from Monaghan to Castleblayney.
The walls are built with stones, and the roof is made of boards. The size of the forge is about fourteen feet by eight feet. There is one window on it, and a double door to let the horses in and out. The doors are made of wood. There is one fireplace in it. The bellows are at the back of the fireplace with the handle suitable to blow, to heat the iron. The(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
