- (continued from previous page)McAdam said he would serve the Mass and the priest thanked him when he was done and he said "I was to say a Mass for an old woman but I forgot about it. I have to come to this church for five years and I have never got anyone to serve Mass until this night" Then the priest disappeared.
- In the year 1889, there was a great snowstorm in Ireland. It started on Friday, February 19th and snowed heavily . It didn't stop until Monday morning.
On Saturday night it was six inches deep and on Sunday night it was one foot deep. Some people couldn't go outside their door on Monday morning.
On Sunday night two men and four sheep were lost near Roslea. One of the men was Frank Johnson of Corholland. He was going to fodder calves in a field. He couldn't walk the field because the snow was too deep. He got up on the hedge to walk.
