  1. Smoke going to the ground is a sign of rain. Stars falling to earth are a similar sign. When you see a cat or a dog tearing a tree also is a sign of wind and rain. A circle around the moon indicates rain. Dust blowing along the road is another sign.
    When you see smoke going up straight it is a sign of fine weather.
    Swallows flying near the ground is a sign of approaching rain.
    When the sun is red at eventide it is the sign of frost.
    When sea-gulls fly inland it is the sign of a storm.
    If the moon be on its back or if there is a cloud around it, it is the sign of rain. When the wind blows from the North it is the sign of snow.
    A rainbow in the morning is the sign of a storm.
