  1. The thirteenth of every month is supposed to be unlucky. An old poem about the days is:-
    Monday for Health,
    Tuesday for Wealth,
Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for crosses.
Friday for losses, and Saturday the worst day of all.
Some people look upon Saturday as a bad day for 'flitting. An old saying is "Saturday's flit is a short sit" Friday is supposed to be good day for flitting. "The Days of the Old Cow" are known in our district as the borrowing days, there are three in our district. They are the first three days of April.
