A numberr of children join hands in a ring and two or three go into the middle of the ring and jump up imitating the frog while saying "Frog in the middle Jump up, Jump up" The children in the ring jump up also.
"Skittles" is a game played formerly very much by boys. The skittles were five short pieces of wood numbered 1 to 5. A cross was drawn on the ground [Drawing] - Crossand a skittle was put standing at each corner and one in the centre. A number say 20 or 30 as the case may be was called for game and whoever made that number first by adding the totals knocked was winner. If the game were 30 and if 29 were knocked if he knocked 1 then he would be winner. If he knocked more than one he would have to go back to half the game and count 15 & start there.
