- There are many places of historical interest around this locality. Even the fields, lanes, and old bushes have their significance. Some of them are as follows:-
The "Castle field" is owned by Mr Laurence Kenny. It is so called because when the Mac Giolla Padraigs resided in Cullohill they built a castle in this field. The Castle is now in ruins and it is since known as the "Castle field". It is situated on the side of the road about a mile from where I dwell and it adjoins the road leading to "prospect".
The "Monument field" is owned by Mr John Delahunty, Raheenleigh. It is so because there was a man killed nearby, and the people buried him there. They placed a bush there to represent a monument to mark his resting place. It is situated on the road leading from Cullohill to Durrow, about half a mile from where I reside.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
