   The birds most common in our district are the crow, jackdaw, magpie, pidgeon, robin, blackbird, thrush, curlew, pheasant, wren, starling, green linnet, wild duck swan lark sparrow, & goldfinch.
   The swallow and the wild goose migrate,
   The crow builds her nest on the top of a high tree. The crows nest is built with sticks and lined with grass and moss. They lay four bluesh eggs specked with brown. The jackdaw builds her nest in the chimneys and it is made of twigs and moss, wool and horse hair. The colour of the eggs is green and specked with brown.
   The blackbird builds her nest in the bushes. She builds her nest with moss and clay. She lays blue eggs.
   The thrush builds her nest in the centre of the bushes. She makes her nest with moss and clay, and she lays blue eggs with brown spots.
   The magpie builds her nest in an ivy kind of tree or bush. She lays grey
