- At present there are only two tailors in this parish. One resides at a place near the Mizen Head called Corran and the other in a place known as Balteen. These tailors work in their own homes. They sometimes stock cloth. Cloth is not woven locally now. Woollen cloth is used mostly now. When the tailor is at work the gear he uses are needles, scissors, thread, and sewing machine.
Shirts are made in the homes. Woollen material, linen or cotton is mostly used in the making of shirts. Both socks and stockings are knitted in nearly every home at present. The thread is not spun in most of the homes but in one house. There is at least one spinn(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
