Ar an leathanach seo

  1. In conversations with old and young I have made a miscellaneous collection of common beliefs and simple customs - apart from the piseogha which meant and did good and harm.

    6. "Saturday's moon seven years too soon" i.e. a new moon on Saturday meant bad weather.
    7. People always blessed themselves when they saw the new moon for the first time.
    8. When moon has a "toothache" or is "lying on its back" it is a sign of bad weather.
    8a. A pig is never slaughtered on Friday.
