- The Lakes of Killarney are dear to my heart,
From the fair Groves of Blarney I ne'er would depart,
I'd long to live lonely in the landscape serene,
From the low lands of Brittas to the highlands of Beeing.

There's Hillary's Castle the pride of the West,
And the famed hill of Baelic with its heathwoven crest,
Where I wandered in Childhood with a heart full of glee,
Going out to the moorlands of Gleann na h-Aithsidhe
III
Gurranes and Gneeves are the first I must trace,
Where the red flag is waving and the fox is in chase,
If you want a day's coursing 'tis fine hunting ground,
With the remnants of ages behind at the Pound.
IV
I owe my best wishes to fair Glounminane,
My heart lies in Laharn, Drompeach, and Cregane,
I reflect for some moments at St Abbey's Well,
And long to be seated down at Sheehan's hotel.
V
Here's to the lasses of sweet Lombardstown,
You'd hear the train whistling going up through the town
But the pride of old Erin so fair to you see,
Is entwined in the bosom of the creamery.
