- Scuibín was played long ago between Cork and Limerick. The ball was thrown up on the bounds of the Counties at a place called Séan Hunt's hill near Dromcollegher. It was going on for a long time and any County could not take the ball from the other. It was played every Sunday and there were 700 men on each side. It was played about 60 years ago. They used to play night and day. It is said that the "Good People" used come to the windows at night calling the men to get up and bring their hurleys to play the match. Limerick won the match in the end.
