  1. There are many old cures lost, as the old people who had these cures (wh) would rather die than give their secrets to anyone.
    The cures for tooth aches are varied, and amongst them were cures called charms. The cure fore a toothache was to burn a penny and drop it into water, and take a drink or mouthful of this, and keep it on the side of the mouth where the toothache is. By doing this a few times the pain would go away. All the best cures were made of herbs, such as dandelions, nettles, the foxglove and many others and the secret lies in getting the male or female
