“In the year 1899 two girls from Anglesboro were sitting at their own fireplace when suddenly they heard a lot of horses pass outside and could hear the saddles creaking as the horses passed through the yard outside.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)nights after that one of the girls was out cuairdíocht and when coming home the horses passed her out and again she heard the creaking of the saddles and strange to say she could hear her father's voice even though he had been dead for years. When she came home she sat down by the fire and told her sister all that had happened. Her sister asked her if she spoke to her father and when she said she did not the sister told her it was a shame for her as she herself would not be afraid to speak to her father.
A few minutes afterwards the father appeared to her when she was in bed and she nearly died with the fright
