  1. In Rockbarton a place situated on the border of Loughgur at the Eastern side there is a great house called Caher Gillemore. In the penal times a man lived there who went by the name of the Blood Judge. He was on these English people who were paid to track down the priests and execute them. He was a tyrant of the highest degree and cared little for any persons. If he saw a person he did not like crossing the field he would order his soldiers to execute him.
One day he captured a priest and ordered his soldiers to execute him. On his way to the scaffold the priest looked at the Judge and uttered some words. In years after the Judge fell sick but he could not die without the priest. When the priest came he prayed over him and then he died.
