  2. One morning very early two men were going to work. As they were going down the Sopwell road they saw a small old woman sitting in the ditch with a shawl on her head and a red shirt and she was smoking a new clay pipe.
    When they had gone a short distance they agreed to turn back to see if she were there in reality. When they came back she had dissappeared. They proceeded on their journey and they met another man and told him what they had seen.
    He told them that it was not the first time for her to be seen.
