Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are several Mass paths in the parish of Ballingarry. They were used by the people on Sundays to come to Mass at the Pike church. They are not in use now but they can still be traced. They run from all the outside townlands to the church.
    One from the south side runs from Derrinclare through Towra across Ballinahinch to the main road near the Pike.
    One also runs from Creera in the west through Drury's field, across Dan Clearys land down the lane through Green's land to the road.
    A third runs through Lismacrory across Cahalans through Browns field into Kennys and on to the road.
    From the east ran one through Sciatana across Codys up the slope of Knockshegowna down through Kennys to where the school is built.
    These are all disused now as very few walk to mass on Sunday.
