   an old man by the name of O'Toole found this sword one day. He brought it home with him, and it was made of silver and seemed to be very valuable. That night he had a most terrible dream about the fort and he also dreamt that something terrible would happen to him if he kept it. He did not take any heed of the dream for that night, but for three nights in succession he dreamt of the same thing, and he got very much afraid and said to himself it would be better to have it back again. And it is supposed to be there still. In that same place there is also supposed to be a man buried standing up with a helmet on his head and a sword in his hand.

   There is supposed to be a sword buried underneath a small stone house in the townland of Baurnadomeeny, parish of Kilcommon and in the Co. Tipperary. It is supposed to be placed there by Danes. It is said that some centuries ago there was a search made for it but the result is not known. There is also a stone near thaat place. It is called "the long stone". It is supposed that some Danish woman flung it from the top of Máthair Clé, to the place where
