    In Humphrey O'Sullivan's diaries Ballingarry is called Baile an Gharrdha nó Cill Baoithín.
    Cill Bheithín is probably more correct meaning the church of the little birch tree.

    Bowlard is a townland near Balloughly. There is only one family living there at present - Crokes of Bowlard (Buaile Árd)
