    In older times when a couple were going to be married the priest went to the bride's house and married them there. The first thing that was done was the fortune was counted in gold sovereigns. The bride groom carried the bride home on a horse and pillion. When they were at home they ate the dinner. For dinner they had a boiled and a roast goose and a piece of bacon. They danced until the morning after. Wednesday was considered the luckiest day in the week. "Monday for health and Tuesday for wealth and Wednesday best day of all. Thursday for losses
