  1. My Home Townland
My home townland is Kilcroney. There are 20 families and about 120 people in it.
The most common names are Kierans and Woods.
The most of the houses are slated, then there are some of the houses which the kitchen is thatched and the remaining are slated.
Kilcroney means the 'Church of the weeping'
There was a graveyard in Kilcroney long ago.
There are two people over seventy and none of them can speak Irish but they can tell stories in English.
It is not mentioned in any old song or story.
There is no plantation in it but there are a few lakes.
People used to go to America and England in former times. There are no ruins of houses in the district now. The land is not hilly or boggy and is good for crops.
