- People did not wear boots in former times until they were twenty years of age. It is said that there is people who never wore boots. The children go bare foot in summer up to the age of twelve years.
There are three boot repairers in Termonfeckin. There are no shoe makers in the district now. It has been a local tradition in their families. Long ago there were many shoe makers in this district. There are none now on account of the factories.
