“A certain farmer could not get any butter on his churn.”
A certain farmer could not get any butter on his churn. He happened to go into the dairy one day and he found a hare drinking the cream off the top of the crock. He called his greyhounds and chased the hare over fields and fields. Though the greyhounds could not catch her and once he distinctly saw one of them catch her toe. She squealed, but managed to escape from them. At last he just caught sight of her, jumping in through a window of a farmer's house.
