  1. There is a mud house in Ring Bog, belonging to William Feery of Ring.
It is made of mud inside with scraws on the outside. It was built in the eighteenth century. Its erection took four months and a half a month. It was built so as a person could just stoop in.
When it rains the house is very mucky, because the mud gets wet.
The rafters are made of Bog Oak. It is thatched with straw It has three windows in it. The roof of the house is sitting on the rafters and the kitchen and room doors. A strong wind would shake it. It may fall any day.
