- There is a holy well in the townland of Kilpatrick and it is situated in the middle of a field. The field in which it is situated is called the well field and it belongs to Mr Thomas Timbse.Some people visit this well on St Patrick's Day. It is said that when St Patrick was going from Tara to the West he planted a little tree here and he sunk the well. This tree grew to an immense size and there are fourteen branches on it which the old people say represent the fourteen Stations of the Cross.It is said that there was(continues on next page)
