  1. My home district is in the parish of Drumraney in the townland of Streamstown. There are about seven families in the district. The most common name is Murphy. There are about six in each family. The houses are mostly slated. It got its name because there is a river dividing the parish of Drumraney from the parish of Tubberclare. The people cannot speak Irish. They can tell stories in English. There were about twice as many houses in the district in former years. The people all went to America.
