- There was once a giant in Forgney. He was a soldier of Cromwell. One night all the opponents of Cromwell attacked this giant and killed him. Then they went into his cave to get all the treasure. When they went into the cave a big hound belonging to the giant rushed at them and killed one of the men. and with a struggle the rest of the soldiers killed the hound. Then they got the treasure. They buried the giant in a catholic graveyard and the next morning he was seen again, then he was buried again. That night the soldiers watched over his grave and again he rose. This continued for three nights. Then they decided to bury him in the No 2 churchyard. Then he was never seen again.
- There was once a giant who knocked at a door and ordered to be let in. A small boy with a big coat on him answered the knock. The giant said to the boy "You will make lovely meat". Then the boy cried for mercy. The giant said. "I will spare your life if you are able to drink as much water as me." The boy began to drink until he was nearly bursting.
