All the birds build their nests in different places. The robin redbreast builds her nest in a mossy bank. The nest is made of moss and hair. The robin lays five white eggs with brown spots on them and she sits on the eggs for two weeks. It is said that when our Lord was hanging on the cross that the robin went to pick the thorns from His Head and some of Our Lords Blood fell on her breast. That is how she got the red breast.
