1. Another Story about Hidden Treasure (ar lean)

   and he fired at the dog but instead of shooting the dog he wounded the boy.

   The dog then killed the man but next morning a person found the boy wounded and he brought him home.

   It is said that the boy lived and he of course told all about what happened.

   This dog was seen every night with a lighting piece of wood in his mouth. One night a priest came and put the dog away.

   This black dog was supposed to be some wild spirit. After this he was never seen again.

   This story was told to me by my Father who heard it from the people of the place.

   There is an old rath on the land of Mr. Wise, Ballyteskan. One time a man tried to level it and the pike flew out of his hand into the next field. When he went to look for it he lost his sight and the rath was left there ever since.
