    But the dance broke up and in the breeze
    The boys and girls began to squeeze
    when someone shouted that's the cheese
    though I could scarcely crawl
    I staggered home and down did lie
    to have a sleep I then did try
    And I swore until the day I'll die
    I'd never go to ball
