  2. There are the ruins of a castle in the townland of Rath Robin, which is in the County Offaly. The castle was burned by the Republican Army. The castle was own by Colonal Biddulph. The castle was built of concrete. A man by the name of Beckon was the contractor. There was a man by the name of John Mahon who used to draw sand to the castle. He lived in Blacklion. He is dead now. Rath Robin is situated about five miles South of Tullamore.
