- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)With precious stones from a crystal rock
The bell in motion tolls time approaching
Calls to devotion St Peters' flock
The aisles, completed and grandly slated
Cannot be equalled in all the land
This temple pure we will make secure
From the shocks of Boreas it must withstand

In the summer season when the fields are pleasing
With pomps of Flora in white and green
You can hear the thrushes on the blooming bushes
And the cuckoo ranging from screen to screen
Likewise the pheasant all in its season
And the linnet straining its downy throat
On the brach above sits the cooing dove
All declaring love to sweet Killamoate

I have heard great toastings and mechanics boastings
Of the great Cathedral in Gorey town
Of Wicklow too with its splendid view
And I though their equal could not be found
Kingstown and Bray have long held sway
And in grand array I viewed them both
They are not superior nor yet inferior
To our "Holy Temple at Killamoate.
