- After the rebellion of 1798 Michael Dwyer was taking refuge in the Wicklow hills from the yoemen. One time when he was in the townland of Farbrague he saw a number of yoemen coming towards him. He put hats on the tops of some stones, so that when the yoemen came near they thought that he had an army with him and they fled.
