    The ragwort is a medicinal herb its juice boiled on milk will cure yellow jaundice. The dandelion makes nice wine.
    The fern when boiled cures scour in calves. The juice of nettles is good for children suffering from measles. Ivy boiled is good as a sub for cows with a start.     Dandelion is found in good land so are thistles and ragwort, the ass will keep down the thistle and the sheep ragwort.
    The big daisies are found in poor land.
    The heather long ago was used for dyeing purposes. Some beautiful colours were extracted from it.
