XI Brewing and distilling were carried on in Brewery Lane off Dublin Road one hundred years ago beer and spirits were made from local grown barley and corn
XII A straw plaiting factory in Silver St made straw hats for Ladies and Gents wear, also bottle mats.
XIII Felt hats for Ladies and Gents were made in Abbey Lane and were renowned for taste and wear about between fifty and one hundred years ago
XIV Fifty years ago paper bags of all descriptions for every trade were made at the corner of Dublin Road in the house now occupied by Mr Patrick McGrath by Messrs Gill and Courtneys.
XV They also had printing works with the first steam printing press in Nenagh.
