Ye residents of Arva,
I pray you lend an ear,
ABout a band of Loyalists,
I mean to let you hear,
Who nightly do assemble,
To cheer with song and dance,
The sad and lonely hours,
of their brother Andy Vance,

A brace of peelers guard those chaps,
By night as well as day,
Lest anyone should interfere,
Or spoil their little play,
And thus to keep them company,
And pass dull hours away,
Some lively ladies visit them,
But that's upon the sly,

There's Gripper Curtis from the town,
Along with Sammy Cox,
There's Master Bobby Walker,
As crafty as a fox,
Likewise that young hero,
